Don’t settle for average when you can easily achieve greatness! These steel cut oats are JAMMED packed with ingredients that you can easily find around your kitchen that will keep your stomach and your taste buds satisfied!
Prep Time – 5 minutes
Cook Time – 40 minutes
Servings – 4-5
3 cups water
1 cup of your choice of milk: almond, coconut, cashew etc.
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 cup steel-cut oats
¼ teaspoon salt
½ tsp cinnamon
Natural Peanut Butter
Raspberries
Maple Syrup
Blueberries
Bananas
Walnuts

- On medium heat, melt coconut oil in a pan. Once melted, add steel cut oats and allow to toast for 3 minutes or until fragrant, stirring frequently.
– - In a separate pot on medium/high heat, add 3 cups of water and choice of milk and bring to a simmer. Then, add in the oats and bring down to a medium low heat to a gentle simmer; Cook for about 20 minutes.
– - Add in the salt and cinnamon and continue to stir frequently for another 10 minutes until mixture becomes thick.
– - Remove from heat and let the oatmeal cool for 5 minutes before serving so it has more time to thicken up.
– - In a skillet pan on low to medium heat, add a drizzle of maple syrup to the pan and berries of choice. Cook down for 2-3 minutes until desired consistency and set aside for the topping of the oats.
– - Once the oats have set, portion into bowls, drizzle with the jam and add any extra toppings you’d like. My favourites are peanut butter, walnuts, banana, extra berries and chia seeds!
